What is a Fuselage and How Does it Relate to 'Lost'?

By Bonnie Covel, About.com

Question: What is a Fuselage and How Does it Relate to 'Lost'?
The term "fuselage" was first introduced in Episode 1x1, Pilot Part 1.
Answer: The fuselage is the main body section of an airplane. It holds crew, passengers, and cargo. On Lost, the fuselage section of the plane landed on one part of the island, with 48 survivors, and the tail section landed in the water off another part of the island, with 23 survivors.

Boars were attracted to the dead bodies in the fuselage, so the survivors burned it (Ep: 1x4, Walkabout).
