Answer: The button refers to the "execute" button on the computer in the Swan Hatch. Once the timer sounds, survivors have four minutes to input the numbers 4 8 15 16 23 42, and press the execute button to reset the timer.
When the hatch implodes (Ep: 2x23, Live Together, Die Alone), the computer and button are destroyed.
