Par Avion Flashback Information

Flashback Character: Claire
Flashback Highlights: Claire is in an accident with her mother. Her mother is in a coma. Claire lies to the policeman, saying that Claire was driving.

Claire's Aunt Lindsey is upset that Claire went home to wash the glass out of her hair.

Christian Shephard comes into the hospital room and Aunt Lindsey tells him to leave. He tells Claire that he is her father.

Later, Christian finds Claire at her work and talks her into going with him for coffee. She wants to know why he never came around and he says that he did, but her aunt hates him and her mother wasn't too happy with the fact that he had another family.

He tells Claire that even though her mother is alive, she's not living, and he knows of ways to put her out of her misery. Claire doesn't want anything more to do with him and tells him that she is happy that she doesn't know his name and that she wants to keep it that way.

Several months later, Claire tells her mother, who is still in a coma, that she is pregnant and that she is sorry and the accident was all her fault.

Par Avion Island Highlights

Claire wakes to find that Charlie has made her breakfast, including a picnic on the beach. But before they can start eating, Desmond comes over and says that Charlie should go hunting with him. He doesn't want to, but Desmond insists.

Claire sees birds overhead and runs off saying that she has an idea to get them off the island.

Claire runs to Jin and Sun and they help her make a trap to catch a bird, so that they can attach a note for the scientists who are tracking the birds to find. They are just about to catch a bird when Desmond shoots a gun in the jungle and the birds fly off.

Claire gets angry with Desmond and accuses him of doing it on purpose.

Claire and Charlie argue because Charlie won't tell Claire the truth about what is going on with him. She doesn't want him around her baby anymore.

Claire follows Desmond and sees that he goes straight to a bird and catches it. She forces him to tell her what is going on, and he tells her about the flashes and about seeing Charlie die. Claire goes to Charlie to show him the bird that Desmond caught for her and to forgive him. She writes a note and Charlie attaches it to the bird. Claire lets the bird go.

Meanwhile, Rousseau, Kate, Sayid, and Locke continue their trek with their prisoner, Mikhail to find the Others' camp. They come upon some large pylons and Sayid guesses that it's a security system. Mikhail says he's right, but that it hasn't worked in years.

Locke takes Mikhail and throws him between two pylons. Mikhail is hit with electromagnetic pulses and has a cerebral hemorrhage. Kate proposes that they go over the pylons, so they cut down a log, prop it against a pylon, and climb over.

From the cover of the jungle, they see the utopian village of the Others. Jack runs towards them and Kate is about to call to him when Sayid stops her. Jack turns and catches a football, then throws it back to Tom.
