Flashbacks in Italics
Kate walks down a hallway, carrying a bag. She goes into a hotel room and takes a box out of the bag. Inside the box is a veil.
A knock at the door and the man on the other side says it's the police. Someone dangerous might be in the hotel and they are doing a room to room search.
"I'm alone, officer," she says.
"The person could be holding you at gun point forcing you to say that. Now open this door."
"I don't think I should," she says.
"You've got three seconds before I break this door down. One, two-"
Kate opens the door and the officer says, "Hey, want to get it on?"
Kate laughs. "Hell, yeah." She jumps into his arms.
Sawyer's Productivity
Kate wakes in her cage. Sawyer is throwing rocks at the button. It says warning twice and then the third time sends electricity. He keeps doing it over and over.Kate asks what he's doing and he says throwing rocks. "Thought you had to pull the lever," she says.
"I know how to get a damn fish biscuit.""Then get me one."
"What, you trying to keep me feeling productive?"
Ben's X-Rays
Juliet and Ben walk into Jack's room. Jack is looking at X-rays.Jack looks at a file. "You got these blood tests and made all the notations?" he asks Juliet and she nods. "How old are the X-rays?"
"A week," she says.
"The tumor on your spine is borderline inoperable, and at the rate the tumor is growing, borderline goes away in about one week."
"Oh," Ben says.
"The OR we were in, was that fully equipped?" Jack asks and Juliet says yes. "Anesthesia and sterile?"
"Yes."
"You need to be in surgery yesterday," Jack says.
"All right, then. Whatever you need, it's yours. I'm ready," Ben says.
Jack laughs. "No, I think you misunderstood me. I didn't say I was going to do it. I just wanted you to understand how you're going to die. You think I believe you people? You think I trust you, that I'm just going to do the surgery and hope that you let me go!"
"Jack," Juliet says, and Jack slaps the file against the glass right where her face is.
"Don't!" Jack yells.
"Well, Jack," Ben says, "I'm very disappointed in your decision."
"Well, Ben, at least you won't have to be disappointed for very long."
Kate's Flashback - Kevin and Monica
Kate is in bed with the officer. She says, "You shouldn't have come here."He says she's right and sarcastically says, "I'm full of regret right now."
She laughs and says, "Seriously. It's bad luck to see the bride before the wedding."
"It's bad luck to see the bride in her dress before the wedding. You, my friend, are naked." He looks at the wedding dress hanging by the door. "Have you tried it on?"
"I had to hold my breath to get the claspy things to clasp. So, I'm waiting until the absolute last minute."
"Well, it's in about 12 hours. You might want to get clasping."Kate looks a little anxious and he says, "Hey, I know it's been fast. This is right. I know it's real. And I love you, Monica."
"I love you too, Kevin."
Kate and Sawyer Team
Pickett opens Kate's cage. "Time for work.""What about him?" she asks about Sawyer.
"He's got the day off."
Kate looks worried, then says, "Well if he's not working, neither am I."
"Oh, you're not, huh?" Pickett says.
"Just go, Freckles," Sawyer says, "If the man wants to give me a day off, let him give me a day off."
"No, Sawyer, we're a team, you break the rocks, I haul them."
"Alright, fine," Pickett says and opens Sawyer's cage. "Lord knows I wouldn't want to break up the team."
