Desmond sits on the beach watching Claire and Aaron. He walks over and tells Claire she has a problem with her roof. He suggests she move down the beach just for tonight, but she doesn't want to because Aaron just fell asleep.
Charlie walks up and asks what Desmond is doing. Desmond mentions the roof and Charlie says if there is a problem with the roof he'll fix it.
"I'm quite handy," Charlie says. "I was building a church before Eko exploded."Desmond walks off and Claire wonders what all that was about.
"I don't know," Charlie says. "We may have to give that guy another button to push."
Who's In Charge?
The TV is on the other side of the glass enclosure where Jack sits in the Hydra. Old cartoons are playing. There's a banging at the door and Jack goes and sits in the corner with his back against the wall.
Juliet walks in and sets down a tray of food. "How are you doing today, Jack?" she asks.
"Great," he says sarcastically.
"You seem frustrated."
He points to the TV. "Am I going to keep watching cartoons or are you going to tell me why I'm here? Should I talk to Benjamin? Because I'm starting to think that you're just the person who brings me my food."
"You can talk to him all you want, but he won't tell you anything."
"You work for him."
"I don't work for him."
"He's in charge," Jack says.
"Well, it doesn't work that way over here, Jack. We make decisions together."
"Really, because when I was holding that broken plate to your neck he seemed happy to just let you die. I mean it felt like he made that decision on his own."
"You don't know what you're talking about. I don't answer to him."
Ben rushes in and says, "Juliet, I need you."
She asks if it can wait and he says, "The sub is back. We have a situation, so come with me now."
Juliet looks at Jack and then follows Ben out. Jack goes to the door and tries to listen.
Pickett's Girl
Pickett, with a bandage on his nose, opens Sawyer's cage and says, "Time for work."Kate sits up. Sawyer looks at Pickett and says, "Sounding a little stuffy there, Chinatown. You need to blow your nose?"
"Just give me an excuse," Pickett says.
Sawyer says, "I thought I just did. What do I gotta do, talk about your mother?"
Pickett goes for him, but hears on his walkie-talkie, "Danny, are you there?"
He walks away to listen to the walkie-talkie. "What?" he says. "Where are they?" He gets upset.
Ben and Juliet come running over. "She's hurt bad, Juliet." Men carry a stretcher over with Colleen on it. Juliet looks at her. They rush her into a building.
"What happened?" Kate asks Sawyer.
"We happened," Sawyer says. "I've been on this rock long enough to know that they ain't in the business of shooting each other. We did it."
"You smiling?" she asks.
"Damn right I'm smiling. We just got our ticket out of here."
