"Through the Looking Glass" Recap

Part 3

By Bonnie Covel, About.com

Talk Them Out of It

Richard talks about going to the radio tower.

"Not we, Richard, me," Ben says. "You're going to take everyone to the temple as planned."

"Now might not be the best time to go tromping off on your own."

"Oh, really? And why not?"

"Because people are asking questions, Ben. About leaving home, about what happened to Locke, about Jacob, not to mention the rapidly spreading rumor that everyone who went down to the beach is dead."

"They're not all dead." Ben puts a ruler down on a map he's looking at and gets up.

Alex sees him and says, "Where you going?"

"Hello, Alex."

"I asked where you're going."

"Well I thought I might go for a walk to see Jack and all his friends."

"I'm coming with you."

"All right."

Alex looks shocked. "What?"

"I said all right. I mean, you do want to see Karl again, don't you? Get your pack. I'm leaving in ten minutes." Ben sits back down at the map.

Richard leans over and says, "There's 40 of them, and you're alone. They're going to do whatever it takes to get off the island. What do you think is going to happen when you get there?"

Ben draws a line on the map with a ruler. "I'm going to talk them out of it." He circles a spot on the map where his two lines intersect before the radio tower.

Calling Me Kate

Jack's group fills water bottles at a stream. Kate goes to where Sawyer is filling his bottle. "Something's wrong."

"Lots of things are wrong, Kate."

"Jin, Bernard, Sayid, they should have caught up to us by now. I want to go back to make sure they're all right."

"Of course you do."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"It means, Kate, there's always something to go back for."

"What's the matter with you?"

"Nothing."

"Nothing?"

"I'm fine."

"Why don't you just tell me what happened to you?" She reaches down into the water and splashes him.

"What'd you do that for?"

"To wake you up," she says. "Ever since you got that tape from Locke, it's like you've been sleep walking. You don't care about our friends, fine, but it's like you don't care about anything anymore. And since when did you start calling me Kate?"

Sawyer gets up from the stream.

"You know," Kate says, "they sent Juliet to check out Sun. She was there to check and see if I'm pregnant too."

"Well let's hope you're not," Sawyer says. He and Jack share a glance as he walks by.

Jack goes to Naomi. "The light still red?"

She nods. They move on.

Desmond in The Looking Glass

Desmond wakes in the boat above The Looking Glass. He looks at the note from Charlie in his pocket, then puts it back in his pocket. Gun shots pepper the water around him. Mikhail is on shore shooting at him. Desmond takes a deep breath and dives in the water.

Desmond swims down to The Looking Glass station. He sees the moon pool and swims inside.

Bonnie and Greta are in the next room with the door closed. They are arguing.

"Charlie, bloody, hell?" Desmond treads water. "You all right?"

"Not for long if you don't get out of here. Hide, Des. Hide, hide, there are people in here."

Bonnie and Greta stop. "Who's he talking to?" Bonnie asks and they go out.

"Who are you talking to?" Bonnie says.

"I'm not talking to anyone. Just singing." Charlie goes on singing Y'all Everybody while the girls look around.

Bonnie hits him and tells him to shut up.

"Right, okay, you got it," Charlie says.

She and Bonnie go into the other room. Desmond watches from a closet.
