At night, next to a fire, Locke reads a file. In answer to muffled moaning, he says, "Save your breath." He puts the file in the fire.
Eight Days Ago
Locke sees Anthony Cooper tied and gagged in the small room. "Dad?"Anthony looks terrified.
"What is this?" Locke asks.
"You tell me," Ben says and wheels closer. "You brought him here."
"I didn't bring him here," Locke says. He takes a step toward Anthony.
Ben says, "I'd be careful about getting too close to him, John."
Tom gets a stun gun ready.
"Where did you find him?" Locke says. "Why did you bring him here?"
"I've already said," Ben says. "We didn't."
"You want me to ask him how he got here?" Locke says.
"Be my guest," Ben says.
Locke removes Anthony's gag and Anthony bites him.
"Tom," Ben says and Tom hits Anthony with the stun gun and Anthony releases Locke's hand. "I warned you, John," Ben says.
Locke looks at his bloody hand.
"Don't you know, John?" Anthony says. "Don't you know where we are?"
Locke backs up and Tom shuts the door with only himself and Anthony in the room.
"What did he mean?" Locke asks Ben.
Ben wheels away. "I'm afraid we don't have time to deal with that right now, John. We're leaving, first thing in the morning. All of us."
"Where are you going?" Locke walks in front of Ben and faces him.
"We're going to a new place. Well, an old place, actually. Would you like to come with us?"
"Yes."
"Good. We're holding Kate a few buildings over from here. Maybe you'd like to say goodbye."
Present - Locke's Return
Kate and Sawyer lay side by side in Sawyer's tent. Sawyer's eyes are closed, but Kate's are open. She looks worried. She slowly removes her arm from around him and sits up and gets dressed."Hey, where you going?" he says.
"I can't sleep if I'm not in my own tent."
"Fine, we'll move to your tent."
Kate looks stressed. "Uhm, it's nothing personal, it's just old habits, you know?"
Sawyer looks at her a moment and then says, "Fine, scram."
She laughs.
Sawyer puts on his shirt and says, "Do you want me to walk you home?"
Kate smiles. "It's five tents. I think I'll make it."
"Are you sure? I've got to pee anyway."
"That is so romantic." She leans over and kisses him, then walks out.
Sawyer puts a gun in his waistband and walks out. He sees Hurley and Jin huddled in front of Hurley's tent and says, "What the hell are you all doing?"
"What the hell are you doing?" Hurley asks.
"I'm going to take a leak."
"Yeah, well, so are we."
"Well, alrighty, then."
Sawyer goes just inside the jungle and unzips. He hears a twig break and pulls his gun. He turns around to a light shining in his face. It's Locke.
"Hello, James," Locke says. "You want to zip your pants up?"
"What the hell you doing here?"
"Looking for you, actually."
"Okay, Tarzan, so now that you're back from your blow-up-everything-that-can-get-us-off-the-island tour, how about you tell me why you joined up with the enemy."
"I didn't join them, I infiltrated them."
"You're undercover with the Others?"
"That's right."
"How about you give me one reason to believe that."
"Because a few hours ago I snuck into Ben's tent and kidnapped him. I tied him up and dragged him off into the jungle."
"And you came all the way back here to tell me this, because?"
"Because this is the same man who tortured you, beat you, humiliated you, and I want you to kill him."
With his gun still pointed at Locke, Sawyer says, "You want him dead, you kill him!"
"I'm not a murderer!"
"Neither am I!"
"Except for the man you killed in Sydney. They got files on us, James, all of us."
"Yeah, well their files got their facts wrong."
"Then I made a mistake coming to you. Please don't tell anyone that I came to you." He turns and walks through the jungle.
"Stop!" Sawyer says. "I said, stop!" He looks down at his bare feet. "Damn it, wait up." He follows Locke through the jungle.
