Kate and Juliet
Kate wakes up in the jungle. She's handcuffed to Juliet.Sawyer Fends for Himself
Sawyer uses a fishing pole from the shore of the ocean. He looks over and sees Sun and Jin with a fishing net. He smiles at Sun, but she just gives him a dirty look."Ain't going to get the Korean vote," Sawyer says to himself.
He catches a big fish and tries to gut it, but gives up and goes to find Hurley.
"Okay, let's do it," Sawyer says.
"Do what?" Hurley says.
"I'm ready to do it, make amends, change the vote. I don't want to be banished, okay?"
"Dude, you stink. What is that? Fish?"
Sawyer puts his back to Hurley. "No."
"Did you try to gut one yourself? How have you not learned that by now? I mean we've been here like 3 months."
"Can we just do this?" Sawyer says.
"Do what?"
"Make nice."
"Apologize for calling me all those names."
"I'm really sorry I called you rotund."
"Really?"
Sawyer sighs. "You're worse than a girl. Come on, let's spread the love."
Kate and Juliet - In It Together
Kate sits up and sees a pocket knife in Juliet's pocket. She pulls it out. Juliet grabs her wrist and wants to know what they are doing out there."Why don't you tell me!" Kate says.
"I don't know."
"Well I don't know either so why don't you let go of my damn wrist!"
Juliet lets go and sits up. Kate takes the knife and tries to open the handcuffs.
"So what the hell happened?" Kate asks.
"I was making a cup of tea and a canister came in through the window."
"So what'd you do to piss them off?"
"You're wasting your time, the knife is too big."
"We're going back."
"What? They did this to us. Why would we go back?"
"You say 'they', like you didn't lock me in a cage and watch me break rocks all day. We're going back to your village because my friends are probably gassed just like us. Your people are gone anyway. I saw them pack up and leave."
"What?"
"Locke came to me and said goodbye. They were taking off, going somewhere else."
"Going where?" Juliet asks.
"He didn't exactly tell me. Welcome to the wonderful world of not knowing what the hell is going on."
Kate's Flashback - Seeing Mommy
Cassidy, in a Kate wig, knocks on Diane's door. Diane opens the door and the Marshal and five other agents take her down."Long time no see, Austen," Marshal Mars says. He flips her over and pulls her glasses off. "Who the hell are you?"
"I'm just selling bibles," Cassidy says.
The Marshal opens her suitcase and sees the bibles. Kate watches through binoculars from a distance.
Later, Kate opens the hotel room door and lets Cassidy in. Cassidy takes off the wig and says they questioned her for half an hour. "He confiscated my case. He was asking me about selling bibles. Good thing I know how to lie."
"Now we know what we're up against, right?"
"Yeah, now we know that there were six guys waiting to take you down, Lucy."
"Yeah, it's okay. I'll figure it out."
"Figure it out? That Marshal, I don't know what you did to him, but if he ever gets his hands on you, it's going to be either him or you."
"Look, if you've changed your mind, if you don't want to help me anymore, I get it."
"No, I do want to help you. But if I'm lying to federal agents, Lucy, so that you can have a chat with your mom, then I at least need to know that there's a pretty good reason."
"He used to get drunk and beat up my mom. So I blew up his house. I made it look like an accident, a gas leak. Took out an insurance policy on the house. For her. Set her up for life. And then she gave me up. Chose him over me. So the reason I need to talk to her is, someone I love, someone who's supposed to care about me betrayed me, and I want to know why."
"Well then, let's go find out."
