Flashbacks in Italics
An eye opens. A hand reaches for a CD and plays a song. The woman looks in the mirror, enjoying the song and looks about to cry. She hears beeping and runs to the oven, which looks smoky. She pulls muffins out and burns her hand. She sits on the floor with her head in her hands. The doorbell rings and she opens it.
A woman stands at the door and looks concerned. The first woman says, "I burned my hands and my muffins."
They look over at feet sticking out from under the house. "He still hasn't fixed your plumbing yet?"
"It's a work in progress," the man says from under the house.
Book Club
A group of people sit in a circle. A man says, "It's not even literature.""And why isn't it literature, Adam? I'm dying to know."
"There's no metaphor. Now I know why Ben isn't here."
"Excuse me?" the woman whom we saw first says.
Adam says, "I know the host picks the book, but seriously Juliet, he wouldn't read this in the damn bathroom."
"Well, Adam, I am the host and I do pick the book and this is my favorite book so I am thrilled that you don't like it. Silly of me as to sink so low as to pick a book that Ben wouldn't like. Here I am thinking that free will still actually exists on--"
The room begins to shake and she tells everyone to get under the doorway. When the shaking stops, they go outside where others are congregating, including non-Henry!
They look to the sky where they see a plane going down. The tail section breaks apart from the rest of the plane. Non-Henry immediately says, "Goodwin, you see where the tail landed?"
"Yeah," Goodwin says, "probably in the water."
"You run, you can make that shore in an hour. Ethan get up there to that fuselage, there may actually be survivors, and you're one of them. You're in shock. Come up with an adequate story if they ask. Stay quite if they don't. Listen, learn, don't get involved. I want lists in three days, go."
Non-Henry walks up to Juliet and says, "So I guess I'm out of the book club."
The camera pulls back on what looks like a nice neighborhood with several people.

Jack opens his eyes and sees chains hanging above him. He sits up and sees a cotton ball and bandaide on his arm where someone had stuck a needle in. He tries the door, but can't get out. On the other side of the room is an open door. He walks toward it, but runs into a glass wall. He tries to break it with no luck. We can barely hear him yell for Kate through the glass.Kate's Shower
Kate is on the floor and water is running. She sees shoes and looks up to see Tom. "Rise and shine, Kate"She gets up. "Where am I?"
"You don't really think I'm going to answer that, do you?"
She wants to know where Sawyer and Jack are and he wants her to take a shower. "I'm not showering in front of you." He laughs and tells her she's not his type. He walks out and she pulls a bandaid covered cotton ball from her arm.
Sawyer's Cage

He asks where they are and who he is, but the boy doesn't answer.Sawyer sees a button with a picture of a fork and knife on it. He pushes it and a recorded voice says, "Warning." He pushes it again and gets the warning again. He goes to push it again and the boy in the other cage says, "I wouldn't do that."
Sawyer pushes it again and gets a shock, which throws him to the other side of the cage. "I told you," the boy says.
