Desmond Hume's Flash Forwards

Baby

Episode 5x3, Jughead
Desmond and Penny have a baby boy, whom they name Charlie.

Memory

Episode 5x1, Because You Left
Desmond wakes and tells Penny that he had a memory from the island. He gets their boat ready to go to Oxford, where the memory of Daniel had told him to go.

Searching for Daniel's Mother

Episode 5x3, Jughead
Desmond tells his son Charlie about Great Britain and Scotland. Desmond goes to Oxford, but there is no record of a Faraday ever working for the University. Desmond finds Daniel's lab with a note on it that says not to enter because it's being fumigated. He goes inside and finds Daniel's things covered up. He finds a picture of Daniel with a woman.

The custodian comes in and tells Desmond not to touch anything. He says that Desmond is not the first person to come around asking about Daniel. Desmond asks why there is no record of Daniel at the University and the custodian says you can't blame them for not having a record of him after what he did to that woman.

Daniel goes to Theresa Spencer's house and says that Daniel Faraday sent him. Theresa's sister, Abigail, lets Desmond in. Theresa is in a vegetative state. Abigail says she's like that as a result of Daniel's experiments and that Charles Widmore has been taking care of her medical bills.

Desmond goes to see Charles Widmore and gets the L.A. address for Daniel's mother.

Penny knows he's lying when he tells her that Daniel's mother is dead. He says she's in L.A. and Penny says that she and Charlie will go with him to L.A.

Ms. Hawking

Episode 5x5, This Place is Death
Daniel goes to the church to find Daniel's mother and sees that Ben, Jack, and Sun are there. He asks what they are doing there and Ben says, "Probably the same thing you are."

"You're looking for Faraday's mother too?"

Without answering, Ben turns and goes into the church. Desmond follows and he is surprised to see Ms. Hawking.

Done with the Island

Episode 5x6, 316
Desmond can't believe that Sun, Jack, and Ben are willingly going back to the island. Eloise says that the island is not done with Desmond yet and Desmond tells them all that she ruined four years of his life and that the island might not be done with him, but he's done with the island. He storms out.

Never Leave Penny

Episode 5x14, The Variable
Desmond is taken to the hospital after being shot by Ben. Penny comes to see him in recovery and says that she'd thought she'd lost him. He says that he made her a promise that he will never leave her.
