"I didn't want to bother you," she says.
"Seeing you is never a bother."
"Next time. I promise."
He asks if she got the mail and she says she forgot. He asks for the mail key and she says it's in her purse. Then she realizes the money is also in her purse and calls for him and runs in there.
He pulls out the envelope. "What's this money?"
"It's from my father."
"Why?"
"I wanted to get furniture and I wanted us to have a nice honeymoon."
Jin shakes his head. "I can provide for you. The honeymoon, the furniture. I know it will take longer, but it will happen. And I will pay for it. I will always take care of you, Sun."
"I know," Sun says.
He tells her to give it back. "I don't want to be in your father's debt any more than we already are."
"I love you," she says.
"Madly?"
"Madly."
The Money

"I gave birth to him, but that does not make me his mother."
"You know how powerful my family is. My husband believes that you are dead. Do not force me to make that a reality."
Puppy

The phone rings and Jin disappears into another room.
Whatever Your Father Tells Me
Episode 1x6, House of the Rising Sun - Flashback 4Sun is asleep on the couch with her puppy. Jin comes home and she follows him to the bathroom where she sees him washing a lot of blood off his hands. She asks what he was doing and he says working. He looks at her coldly and says, "I do whatever your father tells me to do. I do it for us." Sun, looking terrified, leaves the bathroom.
No Baby
Episode 2x16, The Whole Truth - Flashback 1Sun, wearing a negligee, checks herself in a mirror. In Korean, Jin says, "Are you coming to bed?"
Sun looks a little nervous and says, "I'll be right there." She walks into the bedroom and Jin tells her she looks great and to turn around. She does a spin for him and then climbs into bed.
"Did you take your temperature?" Jin asks.
"Isn't that romantic?" Sun says sarcastically.
Jin apologizes but thinks since they have been trying to have a baby for over year without success that they should see a fertility doctor. Sun says, "Why do you care so much about a baby you wouldn't even see?"
"Don't blame my work, Sun. I work so we can-"
"Work?" Sun says. "When a man comes home with blood on his hands, that isn't work."
"And why do you think I come home with blood on my hands? I have blood on my hands because of your father. Because of what he makes me do!"
Sun starts to cry and Jin gets out of bed and goes to the window. Jin apologizes to Sun and says, "Maybe if we had a baby your father might change his mind. Maybe if we gave him a grandchild he might give me a safer job."
Sun Learns English
Episode 2x16, The Whole Truth - Flashback 2Sun walks down a hallway in a hotel and slips into a room. She puts the do not disturb sign on the door knob. Jae is inside.
In Korean, Jae says, "Does he know you're here?" Sun says no and he says, "I thought you were going to tell him."
"I couldn't," Sun says. She drops her coat and as they both reach to pick it up, their faces are close together and they stare at each other.
He moves to get her a drink and asks what she'd like. She asks for an iced tea and he asks her to say it in English, which she does with a little difficulty.
Speaking in Korean again he asks if she wants to talk about it. He thinks Jin would be proud that she learned to speak English.
"And what do I tell him when he asks how I learned?" she says. "Or who I learned it from?"
"If you're uncomfortable with our arrangement, we can stop," Jae says.
Sun looks disappointed and says, "Is that what you want?"
"No," Jae says a little too quickly and then covers by saying, "It's good practice for me, too."
