Nadia
Episode 2x17, Lockdown - Flashback Scene 3Locke is in coveralls, inspecting a home. A woman, Nadia, asks what the verdict is and Locke tells her everything looks good.
He says, "It will all be in my report, but it looks like you and your husband got a pretty nice house here."
"If I had a husband," Nadia says, "I'm sure he would be very happy to hear that."
He smiles and asks her to sign an invoice. Then he goes and puts his stuff into the back of a pickup that has his name on the door as the owner of the business.
He hears a car start and looks over to see the silver car down the street. He walks over.
The window rolls down to reveal Locke's father. "Hello, son," Anthony says.
They go to a bar and Locke asks what he wants. "Look, John," Anthony says, "I know what I did was wrong."
"You stole my kidney," Locke says.
"I was dying," Anthony says.
"You could have asked me. You could have just asked me." Locke downs his shot. "What do you want from me?"
"I killed myself off," he says, "because there are two men who wanted to beat me to it."
"What did you do," Locke asks, "steal their livers?"
"I took them for 700,000 dollars." He explains that the money is in a safety deposit box, but that they might be waiting for him to show his face, so he wants Locke to get it for him.
Locke covers his face, half laughing. "Do you think I'm stupid?"
Anthony tells Locke that he can keep 200,000. He tells him to bring it to the hotel by the airport tomorrow. Anthony is leaving, money or no money.
"And John," Anthony says, "if I never see you again, I'll understand."
Box 1516
Episode 2x17, Lockdown - Flashback Scene 5Locke opens safety deposit box 1516. He looks around nervously. He opens the box and finds money. He looks it over, then stuffs it in his bag.
Back at his house, he comes in the front door and says, "Honey, put on your Sunday best. I am taking you out!"
He kisses her and she says, "John, we have visitors." Locke turns around to see the two guys he had seen at the funeral.
"These men said they knew your father," she says.
One of the men says, "Hi John, I'm Jimmy Bane."
"I'm sure Helen told you I didn't really know him," Locke says.
"She told us," Jimmy says. "I'd like to ask you a couple of questions if that's okay."
Locke says okay and the man asks if he's seen his father since the funeral. Locke acts like he doesn't know what Jimmy is talking about and Jimmy says that his father might not be dead.
Helen gets upset and says that he has no idea what Locke's father did to him.
Jimmy says Locke didn't look too shook up at the funeral and Helen says they were there to get past it so that they could move on with their lives.
Locke tells Helen it's okay and moves her to the side. Jimmy says he'll leave, but just one more thing, "What's in the bag, John?"
"Work papers and stuff," Locke says. "I'm a home inspector."
The two men want to take a look. Locke seems unsure, but hands him the bag. The second man dumps out the contents onto the table. It's all work stuff.
"Well, there you go," Jimmy says, and they leave.
Locke apologizes to Helen and asks if she's okay.
"Were you lying to those men, John?"
"No," Locke says. "I was scared."
She hugs him.
Helen's Had Enough
Episode 2x17, Lockdown - Flashback Scene 6Locke goes to a motel and knocks on a door. His father opens it and is happy to see him. He asks if there were any problems and Locke says no.
"Your date at my funeral," Anthony says, "she got a name?"
"Helen," Locke says.
He says it's a nice name and that she's a pretty girl. Locke tells him that he is going to ask her to marry him tonight.
Anthony puts a pile of money on the table and says, "Your share. It should buy you a nice honeymoon."
"I didn't do this for the money," Locke says.
Anthony asks why he did it, and Locke just looks at him. Anthony looks uncomfortable and says he has a cab waiting. He tells him that if he doesn't want the cash the maid is going to get a big tip.
When Anthony opens the door to leave, Helen is standing there. Locke stands up. "Are you him?" she asks Anthony.
Anthony says, "Listen, sweetheart-"
Helen slaps him. "How could you? How could you do this to him? We were moving past this!"
She looks at Locke and he starts to make an excuse, but comes up with nothing. She gives him a disappointed look and walks away.
Anthony looks at Locke and seems sorry. Locke rushes past him after Helen. He wants her to stop, but she says he lied to her. She says that he needs his father's love more than hers and he says that he wants her. He says he was going to tell her everything. He tells her he loves her and he gets down on his knee and proposes.
She stares at him a moment then shakes her head and gets in her car. He looks over at his father who gets in his cab and drives away.
