Jack Yells at Eko
"Where are they?" Jack yells. Eko doesn't answer.Locke says, "Jack, it's not his fault."
Jack says, "Shannon's dead!" He tells Eko to take him out there.
"This man isn't the problem," Locke says. "He brought Sawyer back."
"Half-dead with a bullet hole in his shoulder, John," Jack says. To Eko he says, "Are you going to talk to me or are you just going to sit there?"
"Anything I say will only make you angry. So, yes, I will sit here," Eko says.
Sun comes into the hatch. "Jack! Jack!"
Jack and Michael hug. Michael says, "We've got a problem, man."
Jack loads a rifle and asks if Michael remembers how to get there. "We should stop and think about this," Locke says.
Jack says, "Think about what, John? Shannon's dead. Sayid's being held at gun point. You want to sit and hope that situation resolves itself? Be my guest."He hands Michael a gun and they head out.
"Stop!" Eko says, and they do. "What do you want? Peace? Revenge? Justice? And you are going out with all these guns? What do you want?"
Jack says, "I want all of our people back here safely. Your friend murdered-"
"Ana-Lucia made a mistake," Eko says.
Jack recognizes the name. Eko says to Jack, "I will take you there. But only you, and no guns."
"Let's go," Jack says.
Ana-Lucia Confesses to Sayid
Ana-Lucia repeatedly removes and re-engages the magazine of the gun. She asks Sayid where he is from, and continues to ask until he answers, Iraq. She asks if he has kids and he says no. He asks if she has kids, and she chokes out a no."Are you going to kill me?" he asks.
"Should I?" she says.
Sayid says, "Almost 40 days ago on this very island I tied a man to a tree and tortured him. I tortured him as I've tortured many men. Men whose voices I still hear in the night. Should you kill me? Maybe you should. Maybe you were meant to."
She says, "I'm a cop. I was a cop. One night my partner and I responded to a burglary call. We were the first ones there. I covered the front and he went around the back. I was there a minute and then this kid comes right through the front door. I tell him to put his hands up, and he says I'm making a mistake, that he's a student and he wants to show me his I.D. I believed him. I just, I let him reach. All I remember was a pop. By the time I hit the ground I thought I was dead. I feel dead."
"What happened to him, the man who shot you?"
Ana-Lucia Flashback - Killing Jason
Ana-Lucia is having a drink in a bar, watching Jason McCormick saying goodbye to his friends and leaving. In the parking lot she says, "Hey, Jason.""Do I know you?" he asks.
She pulls a gun and says, "I was pregnant." She shoots him three times and he drops. She walks over and shoots him three more times.
They Never Found Jason
"What happened to him?" Sayid asks."Nothing. They never found him." She walks over to Sayid with Eko's makeshift machete. She raises it above him, then cuts the ropes. She drops the machete and gun at Sayid's feet. "Go ahead. Pick it up. I deserve it."
Sayid says, "What good would it be to kill you if we're both already dead?"Sayid goes to Shannon's body and picks it up. Ana-Lucia turns away.
