Live Together, Die Alone
Michael is alone a little ways off and he looks like he's in pain."Hey?" Jack says, "You alright?"
Michael is startled and says, "Yeah, I'm just out here getting some firewood. I'm not feeling too hot."
"You shouldn't be out here alone," Jack says. "I'll give you a hand."
"Hey," Michael says, "thanks for coming out here, risking your neck for my boy."
"Live together, die alone, man," Jack says.
Four Toed Statue
On the boat, Sun goes over to where Sayid is looking through binoculars at something on shore. Jin points and Sayid hands her the binoculars. She sees a very large statue of a foot and part of a leg."I don't know what is more disquieting," Sayid says, "the fact that the rest of the statue is missing or that it has four toes."
Fake Lockdown
Inside the hatch, Eko carves on his stick. The lights go out then come on. Eko walks around and sees that the hatch door is open.The lockdown countdown begins. In the computer room, Desmond is messing with some wires. Locke glances at the timer, 101 minutes left.
The blast doors go down, with Eko outside the computer room. He runs to try to get inside. He puts his stick under the door to stop the door from closing fully. Locke is on the other side of the door and grabs the stick.
Desmond and Locke are locked inside the computer room. Eko is locked out and starts shouting, "John!"
"Neat trick," Locke tells Desmond.
Eko continues to knock and yell.
"Are you sure about this, brother?" Desmond asks.
"I'm more sure of this than anything in my entire life."
"Alright then, Box Man, we wait."
Desmond's Flashback - Kelvin
Desmond is on his sailboat in extremely bad weather. He ties the steering wheel, then goes in the cabin and grabs his book and a few other things. He goes back up and gets hit in the head.He washes up on the beach and has a hard time focusing on the man who drags him into the hatch. The man is covered in a yellow suit and a black mask. He takes off his mask in the hatch and says to Desmond, "Are you him?"
"What?" Desmond asks.
"What did one snowman say to the other?"
"What are you talking about?" Desmond asks.
The man looks crushed.
"Who are you?" Desmond asks.
"I'm Inman. Kelvin Inman."
"What happened to my boat?" Desmond asks.
"I found you washed up on the beach. There's no boat."
The timer beeps and Kelvin looks annoyed. He goes to the computer and types in the numbers. The timer resets.
"What was all that about, then?" Desmond asks.
"Just saving the world," Kelvin says.
Later, Desmond watches the Orientation film over and over. "How many times you going to watch that thing?" Kelvin asks.
"Why are there missing parts?"
"Rasinski made some edits." Kelvin has on his yellow suit and is taping the suit around his wrists where it meets his gloves.
"Who's Rasinski?"
"He was my partner."
"What happened to him?"
"Just make sure you put that back when you're done with it."
"Why do you wear that suit?" Desmond asks.
"So I don't get infected out there." He opens up a case and gets out vaccine and the vaccine gun. "Give yourself a shot of this every nine days. You were out there awhile before I found you. Hope it's not too late."
The Priest Outside
Eko bangs on the blast doors. Desmond says, "Who is he, Box Man?""His name is Mr. Eko."
"Why does Mr. Eko carry around a stick covered in scripture?"
"Because he's a priest."
"We locked out a priest?"
On the outside of the door, Eko looks around, then climbs up the ladder and out of the hatch. He sees the blown off hatch door that says QUARANTINE on what was previously the inside of the door.
Dynamite
Eko runs to Charlie who is playing his guitar on the beach, and says, "Charlie do you know how they got the hatch open?""How did they open it?" Eko asks."No," Charlie says, "but if you hum it I can probably play it."
"They blew it up. Why?"
"Charlie, I need your help."
"Oh, now I'm back in your good graces, Father?"
"Charlie, John has locked me out of the hatch and I believe he is doing this because he's going to stop pushing that button. And Charlie, I'm absolutely certain that if he is successful, then in 90 minutes everyone on this island will die."
"Alright, I'm in, I'm in."
