Walking down a hill, Mr. Friendly is in the lead, followed by Michael being held on each side by Pickett and Alex.

Michael's hands are tied behind his back. Mr. Friendly asks if he has a problem and Michael says he's tired.

Mr Friendly says, "I'd offer to knock you out and carry you, but we're here."

Michael looks up the hill and sees a rock with a hole in it.

They walk him through a camp of yurts where several people work. Two men with rifles stand in front of double doors with a Dharma logo.

"Put him right over here," Mr. Friendly says. He turns to Alex and says, "Tell her we're here."

Pickett comes over with a syringe and says, "I can't promise this won't hurt." He jabs the needle in Michael's arm. "Relax, just taking some blood."

"Taking some blood for what? Who are you people? Where's my son?"

"That's it, all done." He puts the needle into a plastic bag and pats Michael on the shoulder. "See you in the funny pages."

He waves to a woman as she approaches Michael. "Hello, Michael," she says.

"Where's my son?" Michael says.

"My name is Miss Klugh." She crouches to the ground across from Michael . "I was hoping you might help me answer some questions about Walt."

"Where is he?"

"Is he your biological son?"

"What?"

"Are you his father?"

"Yes, I'm his father!" Michael says.

"How old was he when he started speaking? Did he have any illnesses growing up? Headaches, fainting spells?"

"No!" Michael looks away. "I wasn't there! He was halfway around the world. Why are you asking me all these questions?"

"Did Walt ever appear in a place he wasn't supposed to be? You say he was halfway around the world, but did you see-"

"I want my son! You bring him to me, right now! I want to see my boy!"

"For someone who wants his son back so badly, you don't seem to know much about him, Michael."

Today

Sayid packs his things. Michael comes up and says, "Look, you're not coming."

"Welcome back, Michael," Sayid says.

"I know Sawyer told you, but you're not coming. It's not going to work. You're not coming."

"And why am I not coming?" Sayid asks.

"Because you're going after the guy who escaped! And I'm going after my son!"

"Are you implying that I'll let my desire for revenge compromise Walt's safety?"

"I'm implying that I decide who stays and who goes and you stay!"

They stare at each other a moment, then Michael says, "I know you want to help, but I've got to do this my way."

He grabs Michael's hand and shakes it. "Of course. Good luck, Michael."

Further up the beach, Charlie is frustrated trying to build the church by himself. Vincent runs over and drops a Virgin Mary statue at his feet.

"Are you kidding me?" Charlie says. "Did someone put you up to this?"

He follows Vincent to Sawyer's shelter, where he sees the statues. He takes them out and one by one throws them into the ocean. He notices Locke sitting on the beach and they exchange a glance.

Sawyer's Friend Jack

Jack and Sawyer return to the hatch to find Eko sitting at the computer. "You were supposed to come right back," Jack says. "What happened?"

"We were unable to find Henry's trail," Eko says.

"Yeah, I got that," Jack says. "Where's Locke?"

"I do not know."

"We're burying Ana-Lucia and Libby at sunset," Jack says.

"Thank you," Eko says. "I will mourn them in my own way."

Jack goes into the other room and he and Sawyer get the guns ready.

"Who's going to talk?" Sawyer asks.

"What?" Jack says.

"At the funeral? Who's going to talk?"

"Well I'm sure Hurley will want to say something about Libby."

"I never even knew her last name." Jack looks up at Sawyer and he says, "Ana-Lucia."

"Cortez," Jack says.

"Cortez," Sawyer says. "Well there you go. I screwed her."

"What?" Jack says.

"That's how she got my gun, Ana, she jumped me. We got caught in a net."

"Why you telling me this, Sawyer?"

"You're about the closest thing I've got to a friend, doc. And 'cause she's gone." He picks up the rifle and says, "Well, at least now we get to kill somebody."

The Plan

Kate and Hurley dig two graves. Michael walks over and watches. He gets in one of the holes and helps Kate. "Jack fill you in on the plan?" he asks Kate.

"What plan?" she asks.

"We're leaving first thing in the morning. Back across the island to their camp."

"Okay," Kate says.

Michael looks at Hurley. "And what about you, man, you coming with us?"

"Why would I want to go?" Hurley asks.

"Because they killed her!" Michael says.

"Michael," Kate says, "come on!"

"What do you say, Hugo?"

"Sorry about Walt, dude, but I'm not coming."

"You're sorry about-"

"Michael!" Kate says.
