Sawyer's Manuscript
Sawyer reclines in an airplane seat reading the manuscript, Bad Twin. "Sawyer," Jack says as he, Kate, and Locke approach, "put the book down.""It's not a book, Jack, it's a manuscript. I'm about to be the only person on the island to know who done it. Think I got it figured out. So cool your damn jets and walk around the coconut trees, I've got like ten pages left."
Jack grabs the manuscript and rips out the last few pages. "Want to figure it out?" he says and drops the papers into the fire.
Sawyer jumps up and retrieves the burning pages. "What the hell is your problem, doc?"
"It's time to give us the guns back."
"You burn the ending of my book and now you want the guns?" Sawyer says.
"Where are they, James?" Locke asks.
"You too, Brutus?" Sawyer says.
"Just take us there, Sawyer," Kate says. "Quit playing around."
"What, you bring her along for a sympathy vote?" Sawyer asks Jack. "She ain't in my head, doc. So why don't you two just go play in the jungle, huh?"
Jack pulls out his gun and points it at Sawyer. "Take us to the guns. Now."
Sawyer goes to pull his gun and is at first confused, but then he realizes that Ana-Lucia had taken it. "She stole my damn gun, Ana-Lucia."
"Why would she need a gun?" Jack asks.
Locke looks worried.

"Just do it."
"Why?"
"You know why."
He takes the knife and cuts while she watches. He laughs. "He kept saying you were misunderstood."
"What are you talking about?" she asks.
"Goodwin. Yes, he told us all about you. How he thought you were worthy and he could change you. But he was wrong." Non-Henry carefully puts the knife down. "And it cost him his life."
"He was going to kill me."
Non-Henry stands up. "Was he?"
"Are you done?"
"Yes, Ana, I'm done."
She pulls the gun on him and cocks it. "So this is it, huh?" he asks.
"Yes, Henry," she says, "this is it."
Ana-Lucia's Flashback - Jack
Ana-Lucia is in line at the airport. She's watching Jack argue with the check-in girl.Jack says, " I'm asking you a favor. I'm standing in front of you in the suit I'm wearing to my father's funeral. I need that coffin to clear customs because when I land in L.A. there's going to be a hearse waiting there. And I need that hearse to take me and that coffin to a cemetery. Why? Chrissy, why can't I just take him to a funeral home and take my time to make all the arrangements? Because I need it to be done."
In line, Ana-Lucia pulls out a cell phone and calls her mother. She tells her that she is in Sydney. "I made a mistake, Mom. You knew so I got as far away from you as I could. But now, I want to come home, Mom."
On the other end of the phone line, Captain Cortez looks relieved and says, "So come home." She says she'll be there when Ana-Lucia lands.
Michael Gets Info From Ana-Lucia
Ana-Lucia sits outside the armory looking at the gun. Michael comes over and says, "So where is everyone?""What you said got them really worked up. They went to get all the guns back from Sawyer."
"Sawyer?" Michael says. "Sawyer has all the guns?"
"Long story," Ana-Lucia says.
"Least they didn't get that one," he says.
"Too bad I can't use it."
"Use it on what?"
"We caught one of them. The Others. He's locked up in there."
"How long?"
"Over a week."
"And you're what, taking care of him?"
"He tried to kill me today, so I wanted him dead. I couldn't do it. I couldn't even kill him."
Michael stands up and walks to the armory door. "Then let me do it. They're animals. I've seen these people and they are animals. They took my son right out of my hands. I'll do it. Give me the gun. I'll kill him. 'Cause that's what they'd do."
She hands him the gun and he asks for the combination.
"Eighteen right, one left, 31 right."
He looks at the armory door and turns around. He studies the gun and says, "I'm sorry."
"For what?" she asks.
He turns around and shoots her in the stomach. She passes out. He looks shocked. Libby walks in carrying a blanket. "Michael?"
He panics and shoots her, then looks stricken. He goes to the armory and opens the door. He stands inside and he and non-Henry look at each other. Michael is shaken. He puts the gun to his own arm and pulls the trigger.
