Flashbacks in Italics
Rose and Bernard put Dharma food on a shelf on the beach. Bernard thinks that food falling from the sky with weird labels on it is weird, but Rose says that she was taught not to question her blessings.
Bernard says he spent seven weeks of bad days on the other side of the island just so he could stay alive to get back to Rose. But here, on this side of the island, they've built a kitchen on the beach. "They've given up," he says, and Rose asks on what. "On getting rescued."
Locke's Drawing
The timer beeps. Locke sits at a desk concentrating on drawing a diagram like the one he saw on the blast door. He scribbles, then wads up the paper. He starts again. He closes his eyes.The insistent alarm goes off at the one minute mark, but Locke doesn't seem to hear it. Jack walks in and says, "You going to get that?"
Locke gives him a blank look, then looks at the timer and enters the numbers into the computer. He looks down at his diagram, then back up at the timer.
Outside the armory, Ana-Lucia looks at a big book. Jack asks when she went in the armory and she says two hours ago and that non-Henry is sleeping. Jack asks if he ate and she says no, not for a couple of days now. "No food, no water, nothing to say."
Jack says, "Well I don't know about you, but I'm tired of waiting."
Ana-Lucia tucks the gun in her waistband and follows Jack into the armory.
Jack sits in front of non-Henry, but non-Henry just stares past him. Jack says that he is going to change the dressing on non-Henry's shoulder and if he tries anything they'll have a problem.
Jack rips the bandage off and non-Henry flinches, but doesn't say anything. Jack says, "So, Henry, I've been thinking about something you said before we knew who you are. You were saying that if you were one of them you would lead us into a trap, capture our people and force a trade. Us for you. Pretty good idea, Henry. And since you are one of them, I think it's time to use it."
Jack continues to dress non-Henry's wound and says, "I'm going out to the line that we're not supposed to cross and telling them that we've got you. And if they want you back, it's going to cost them. And when we get Walt back, you might have just been worth all of the trouble."
Non-Henry lets out a little chuckle. "Did you say something?" Jack asks.
Non-Henry says, "They'll never give you Walt."
Rose's Flashback - Stuck
Rose guns the car engine and her wheels spin in the snow. Bernard taps on the window and tells her not to gun it."With all due respect," she says, "I have been driving in snow my whole life."
"You have to rock it out," Bernard says, but Rose continues to gun the engine. She says she's going to call AAA, but he says he can do it and pushes on the car. The car gets out of the snow and Bernard falls on his face.
Rose gets out and asks if he's okay. She thanks him for helping her and says her name is Rose. He goes to his car and she gets back in hers. Before he closes the door she asks if she can buy him a cup of coffee.
Idea Strikes
Rose has some Dharma cookies that she tries to give to Hurley, but he says he is on a diet. Bernard comes up and asks him, "Can you get Libby and meet me at the tree line in five minutes? Oh, and if you can, get Jin and Sun, Jenkins and the Frogurt guy, the guy who used to make frozen yogurt.""Bernard," Rose says, "what are you up to?"
"I've got an idea," Bernard says and runs off.
