Locke's Flashback - Home Inspection

Locke is in coveralls, inspecting a home. A woman, Nadia, asks what the verdict is and Locke tells her everything looks good.

He says, "It will all be in my report, but it looks like you and your husband got a pretty nice house here."

"If I had a husband," Nadia says, "I'm sure he would be very happy to hear that."

He smiles and asks her to sign an invoice. Then he goes and puts his stuff into the back of a pickup that has his name on the door as the owner of the business.

He hears a car start and looks over to see the silver car down the street. He walks over.

The window rolls down to reveal Locke's father. "Hello, son," Anthony says.

They go to a bar and Locke asks what he wants. "Look, John," Anthony says, "I know what I did was wrong."

"You stole my kidney," Locke says.

"I was dying," Anthony says.

"You could have asked me. You could have just asked me." Locke downs his shot. "What do you want from me?"

"I killed myself off," he says, "because there are two men who wanted to beat me to it."

"What did you do," Locke asks, "steal their livers?"
"I took them for 700,000 dollars." He explains that the money is in a safety deposit box, but that they might be waiting for him to show his face, so he wants Locke to get it for him.

Locke covers his face, half laughing. "Do you think I'm stupid?"

Anthony tells Locke that he can keep 200,000. He tells him to bring it to the hotel by the airport tomorrow. Anthony is leaving, money or no money.

"And John," Anthony says, "if I never see you again, I'll understand."

Henry's Help

Locke looks around and yells to Henry, "We're locked in."

"What?" Henry says.

Locke explains that doors came down all around. Henry asks if he tried to pry them open and Locke thinks for a moment and says, "Maybe if we both-"

"You want me to help you?" Henry has a hard time believing what he is hearing.

Henry doesn't want to help Locke because he is just going to lock him back up. John says that's right.

Henry says, "If I'm going to help you, then I'm going to need your word that you won't let your people do anything to me."

"If you are who you say you are, then you have nothing to worry about."

"Things have happened to them. Things that I have nothing to do with me. And they have no one to blame, except for me," Henry says. "So I'm going to need your word, that you'll protect me. No matter what."

Locke opens the armory door. "Who are you?"

"My name is Henry Gale. I'm from Minnesota and I crashed on this island, just like you."

"Alright. You have my word."

Jack and Sawyer Play

Jack sits next to a big pile of fruit. "Dude, you got me," Hurley says and throws down his cards.

"I'm out," Kate says.

"You think you're in my head, doc?" Sawyer asks.

"You still have three papayas," Jack says. "Call or fold."

Sawyer thinks he has a winning hand and lays them down. Jack lays down his hand, which beats Sawyer's. Since everyone else is out of fruit, Jack says that's it, but Sawyer wants to play for higher stakes.

"Should I go get a ruler?" Kate asks.
Sawyer kicks Hurley out of the game and Kate leaves with him. Sawyer says, "One more hand, doc. What's it going to take?"

"The medicine you stole from the armory," Jack says. "All of it."

No Time to Wait

Locke and Henry pry the door partway open, but can only get it a short distance. Locke holds the crow bar while Henry shoves the tool box under the door, giving them just enough room to crawl under.

Locke sits down and puts his legs under the door, while Henry tells him to stop. Suddenly the tool box crumples and the door comes down on Locke's legs.

Locke yells that they have to stop the door. He tells Henry to get something to put under the door.

Henry grabs some weights and stacks them under the door. Locke moans in agony. The weights relieve the pressure and Henry tries to pull Locke out, but a metal piece of the door is in Locke's leg.

Henry says that they'll wait for someone to come help and he lays Locke down. It's only a matter of time until someone will come.

Locke says, "We don't have time."
