Sun's Flashback - Sneaking Around
Sun walks down a hallway in a hotel and slips into a room. She puts the do not disturb sign on the door knob. Jae is inside.In Korean Jae says, "Does he know you're here?" Sun says no and he says, "I thought you were going to tell him."
"I couldn't," Sun says. She drops her coat and as they both reach to pick it up, their faces are close together and they stare at each other.
He moves to get her a drink and asks what she'd like. She asks for an iced tea and he asks her to say it in English, which she does with a little difficulty.
Speaking in Korean again he asks if she wants to talk about it. He thinks Jin would be proud that she learned to speak English.
"And what do I tell him when he asks how I learned?" she says. "Or who I learned it from?"
"If you're uncomfortable with our arrangement, we can stop," Jae says.
Sun looks disappointed and says, "Is that what you want?"
"No," Jae says a little too quickly and then covers by saying, "It's good practice for me, too."
Jack and Locke Share a Bathroom
Jack steps out of the shower and is startled to see Locke in front of the mirror shaving. "Morning, Jack.""You couldn't wait until I was done here?" Jack says.
Locke says, "The steam opens up my pores. A man's got no shaving cream, he's got to improvise. I also thought this might be a good time to talk about our problem."
Locke says that they've had Henry for three days, but Henry is not motivated to cooperate. Locke wants to bring in "some new blood."
Jack wants to know who he has in mind and Locke says, "Ana-Lucia."
"Why her?" Jack wants to know.
Locke says, "She's the one you went to to start an army to fight these people. Why not her? Unless you're worried about what she'll do to him."
"I'll talk to her," Jack says.
"I already did," Locke says. "She's in there with him now."
Henry's Story
Ana-Lucia and Henry are alone. "Were you on the plane too?" he asks.She explains that she was in the tail section and crashed on the other side of the island. She wants to know his story.
"Why bother," he says. "I've already told it to everyone, Jack, Locke, the big black guy that cut off his beard in front of me. Oh, yeah, and my buddy, Sayid. You can see how much he liked my story." He indicates his beat up face.
"So how about you try me?" she says.
Henry asks why she would help him and she goes into the story about Nathan and how she was sure he wasn't on the plane and now he's dead and it's her fault. She doesn't make the same mistake twice. She asks again for his story.
Are You There God? I Need A Pregnancy Test
Sawyer is reading Are you there, God? It's me, Margaret.Sun walks up and he says, "Hey there, Sunshine, what can I do for you?"
Sun asks if she can look through his medical supplies and he wants to know why. She tells him to forget it and turns to walk away.
"Okay, hold on," he says. "Now I'm intrigued. Tell you what, tell me what you're looking for and it's yours, gratis."
"Can't I just look myself?" she asks.
"It's not a drug store, sweetheart."
Sun says, "I need a pregnancy test."
Snapped Necks
Locke listens to music while Jack stands against the closed armory door. "Can't hear anything," Jack says. Locke points out that she's only been in there for 30 minutes."How do you know he hasn't snapped her neck, John?"
"How do you know she hasn't snapped his?"
Ana-Lucia Wants A Map
"So let me get this straight," Ana-Lucia says to Henry, "you and your wife travel around the world and crash here in a smiley-face balloon? Then she dies. You get captured by a French chick who brings you here, and then they lock you up."Henry says, "It sounds kind of silly when you say it like that."
She asks why he doesn't have a beard and he says that he shaves. She wants a map to his balloon. She'll go find it and then everyone will believe him.
"That's what they all keep asking me to do, draw a map. And if I mess up they'll crucify me."
She says, "You flew around the world in a balloon and you don't think you can draw up a good map?"
He says that it's different. Air travel is about wind currents. She asks if he knows where the balloon is and he says yes, he went back there to bury his wife.
He says that "you people" have been looking for someone to punish for everything that's happened. He thinks that it doesn't matter what he does. He's dead already.
Ana-Lucia says that that is true, unless he draws the map for her and she finds his balloon.
Guilty
Sun walks quickly, then stops and pulls out the pregnancy test. Hurley comes into sight and she puts the test behind her back. Hurley is munching a candy bar and when he sees Sun he makes up a story about finding it in the jungle. They both act nervous. "Later, Dude," Hurley says and leaves. Sun again looks at the test.
