It's Here
More of the same quick flashes and Claire is back in the present day, holding the baby bootie."It's here," she says. "The medicine is here."
Claire runs to the operating room and Rousseau follows. The room is empty except for the cold case, which has fallen on it's front. Claire tries to lift it, but she can't, and Rousseau is just standing there, so Claire yells for Kate. They lift it up, but it's empty.
Claire yells, "It was in here! The vaccine was in here! Where is it?," she asks Rousseau. "You were bringing me back here, where is it? You know where it is, don't you? Tell me! Tell me!"
Claire remembers struggling with Rousseau and scratching Rousseau's arm. She looks at the scratches and has another recollection. She remembers regaining consciousness in the jungle. She's lying on the ground and yells for Ethan. "I'm sure! I want you to take the baby!"
Rousseau comes out of cover and Claire asks who she is. Ethan yells for Claire from a distance and she says she's over here.
"I can hear you," Ethan says. "Where are you?"
Rousseau tells her to be quiet and she says, "I have to give him to them." She calls for Ethan again.
Rousseau puts her hand over Claire's mouth and struggles to drag her away. Claire scratches Rousseau and Rousseau knocks her out with the butt of her rifle.
Claire snaps out of her memory and says, "You weren't trying to take me back, were you? You were trying to save me."
"I carried you back to your camp. I left you where they would find you."
"I'm sorry," Claire says. Rousseau turns to leave and Claire asks where she is going.
Rousseau says, "You're not the only one who didn't find what they were looking for."
Blue-Eyed Girl
Kate, Claire, and Rousseau walk through the jungle. "This is as far as I go," Rousseau says."Your baby," Claire says, "was it a girl?"
Rousseau says yes and Claire asks her name. "Alex," Rousseau says, "Alexandra."
"I remember a girl, a girl with blue eyes. She helped me. She saved me, just like you did. She wasn't like the others. She was good."
Rousseau says, "I'm sorry that you didn't find what you were looking for. I hope your baby's not infected. But if it is, I hope you know what must be done."
Eko and Henry
Locke does dishes and Jack and Eko walk in. Locke asks if he's back for more tools and Jack says that Eko knows. Jack tells Eko to be careful what he says to Henry because he's smart and curious. And Locke adds that if the timer goes off not to tell him what it's for. "What is it for?" Eko asks. Jack and Locke exchange a glance, then Locke opens the door and lets Eko into the armory.
Eko introduces himself as Mr. Eko and Henry introduces himself. Eko tells Henry that on the first day on the island he was attacked and killed two men with a stone. "I need you to know how sorry I am for this. I need you to know that I am back on the righteous path now, and that I regret my actions. I ask you for your forgiveness."
"Why are you telling me this?" Henry asks.
"Because I needed to tell someone." Eko pulls out a huge knife and brings it to his own throat. He cuts the two long pieces from his beard and exits.
Bootie
Jack examines Aaron. His fever has broken and the rash is fading. Claire thanks him. And Jack says he didn't do anything. After Jack leaves, Claire gives Aaron the blue baby bootie she had knit and says, "Look, Mommy made this for you when you were still inside her tummy. You know, I wanted them to take you, but now I know that we're supposed to be together, you and me. We're supposed to take care of each other, okay? You're mine and I love you."
Living in the Shadow
Locke brings Henry some food and Henry says, "No cheeseburgers, huh?" Henry mentions a conversation between Locke and Jack and Locke says he has good ears, but Henry says the doors are thin.Henry asks if Locke is the genius or the guy who always feels like he's living in the shadow of the genius. Locke doesn't know what he's talking about and Henry says, "I just don't understand why you let the doctor call the shots."
"No one calls the shots," Locke says. "Jack and I make decisions together."
"Right, okay," Henry says. "My mistake."
Locke leaves the armory and starts to do the dishes, but loses his temper and swipes the dishes onto the ground.
Inside the armory, Henry smirks.
