Glorified Walkie-Talkie

Sayid shucks coconut husks and Hurley walks over. Sayid asks what he wants.

Hurley says, "So I'm over at Rose and Bernard's tent, did you know he's a dentist? He picked up Boone's signal from the Norwegian plane."

"Nigerian," Sayid corrects.

"Right. Anyhow, he picked it up with this." Hurley holds up the radio, which Sayid says is a short wave radio, a glorified walkie-talkie. "Yeah," Hurley says, "but can't you switch a blue wire with a red wire, make it stronger?"

Sayid wonders why they should bother. The last time all they got was the French Woman's signal. Hurley says he's just trying to cheer Sayid up. He apologizes and leaves, leaving the radio behind, which Sayid stares at.

Not Scared Enough

Ana-Lucia catches up to Jack and asks if he got the combo. Jack nods and she says, "Nice. I didn't think it would be that easy convincing your pal to give it up." Jack stops and stares at her. She says, "That's the nice thing about you people, you're not scared enough."

"Not scared enough?" Jack says.

"Same reason we can't talk anyone into joining the army. Everyone around here actually thinks they're safe."

"Trust me, Ana, no one thinks we're safe."

"So, Jack, what's the combo?" Jack looks at her suspiciously and she says, "I was just kidding."

At Sun's Garden

Sun works in her garden, but pauses when she hears rustling in the bushes. She continues to work but hears the rustling again and then sees some grass move. She is relieved when Vincent comes out. She speaks to him in Korean.

Thunder rumbles. Sun looks up and it starts to rain. Suddenly, someone jams a bag over her head, binds her wrists, and drags her away while she screams.

Screams in the Jungle

Sawyer scrambles under a tarp to get out of the rain and asks Kate to do the same, but Kate likes the rain. He drags her under and they hear a scream. They run into the jungle and find Sun unconscious. Sawyer yells for Kate to get Jack and then carries Sun to her tent.

Jack, Ana-Lucia, and Jin run to the tent. Jin speaks in Korean and Jack tells him to calm down, that she is going to be okay.

Sawyer says he heard her scream and found her in the jungle. Kate adds that she was out cold and her hands were tied.

"What do you mean, her hands were tied?" Jack asks.

Ana-Lucia says, "They're back."

Later, a group stands together on the beach. "They told us they would leave us alone," Locke says.

"Well, John," Jack says, "it looks like they broke their promise."

Ana-Lucia wants to take a look around Sun's garden with the guns, but Locke says no. "If we arm up we're just as likely to shoot each other as we are one of them," he says.

Jack agrees with Ana-Lucia, but says, "Okay, we'll wait for Sun to wake up. She'll tell us what happened. Then we're going to do something about it."

"Sounds like a plan," Locke says.

The Hood

Sawyer and Kate check out the area where they found Sun. Sawyer says, "How'd she get away? The woman doesn't weigh 100 pounds soaking wet."

"She was fighting for her life. People are capable of almost anything."

"You couldn't get away," Sawyer points out. "You versus Sun, hot oil death match, my money's on you, Sheena."
He sees something on a branch and picks it up. Kate says it's just like the hood they put over her head.

"No it's not," Sawyer says. "This one's black, different weave. It's all in the details, they're all wrong."

Kate says, "What are you saying, one of us did it?"

"Not much upside to scaring the crap out of 46 people, unless you're trying to con them into joining an army."
