Part 4

By Bonnie Covel, About.com

Eko's Flashback - Yemi is Shot

A plane idles on the runway. Eko and the other men are dressed as priests. The man standing guard says he sees something. It's a van driving up. Yemi gets out of the van.

"What are you doing here, Yemi?" Eko asks.

"I came to stop you."

"Go back to your church," Eko says.

"Do not get on that plane, Eko," Yemi says. "You saved my life once and now I'm here to save yours." Yemi continues to beg Eko not to get on the plane.

A truck full of soldiers comes speeding up. "He called the military," one of Eko's men says.

"You did this?" Eko asks Yemi.

"I did not tell them who was involved. Just leave the drugs and come back with me."

Eko's men shoot at the truck. The soldiers shoot back and one of Eko's men is killed. Yemi runs in front, yelling at the soldiers, "No! Stop! No more!"

Yemi gets shot and Eko runs to him. He asks one of his men to help him get Yemi on the plane. He does, but then when Eko tries to climb in, he kicks him to the ground, closes the door, and the plane flies away.

Yemi

Eko goes inside the plane and sees the statues. He sees a body and opens the shirt. There is the cross. He holds the corpse and cries, asking Yemi to forgive him.

Eko's Flashback - Father Eko

At the runway, Eko is on the ground, looking up at the plane flying away. A soldier runs to him and says, "Father? Are you okay, Father?"

Burning the Plane

Eko removes the cross from his brother's body. Charlie asks who it is and Eko says, "He's my brother." He places one of the Virgin Mary statues with his brother's body and pulls a fuel line out of the plane's interior and douses the body with fuel.

Eko comes out of the plane and gives a statue to Charlie. "For the one I broke," he says.

Later, Charlie and Eko watch the plane burn. "So are you a priest or aren't you?" Charlie asks.

Eko puts the cross around his neck and says, "Yes I am." He recites the Lord's Prayer.

Lying

Sun and Jin bring fish to Ana-Lucia. Libby struggles to build a shelter and Hurley helps her. Sawyer looks at his haircut in a mirror and teases Kate. Jack interrupts their flirting to give Sawyer a pill.

Claire packs Charlie's stuff as he approaches. "Claire?" he says.

"You lied to me, Charlie."

"I know I did. I'm sorry. It made me safer to have it around."

"Look, I can't have you around my baby, okay?"

That night, Charlie walks through the jungle with a torch. He goes to hide the Virgin Mary statue, and we see that he also has several others.
