Confirmed Dead Clues
- When we first see Daniel Faraday, he's watching the news and sobbing. There is a woman with him, but we never see her face. I didn't recognize her voice, either, but I bet she is someone we either know already or will know in the near future. She doesn't touch him like a wife or mother would, but acts more like an employee.
- Locke and Ben both seem surprised and concerned that Hurley saw the cabin. It seems only those who can see Jacob can see the cabin. Hurley realizes his mistake and plays it off that he meant the airplane cabin.
- One of the pictures in Mrs. Gardner's house looks like Eko as a boy. Check it out.
- When Miles first walks into Mrs. Gardner's house, he stops to look at the picture of the boy. The picture is in a wooden frame. After Miles does his thing in the boy's room, he looks at the picture again and it's in a different frame. See the screen captures at Lost Easter Eggs.
- Daniel thinks the light on the island, or at least the specific place they were in the jungle isn't quite right. He said it doesn't scatter like it usually would. Lost fan Wayne says, "There was a real and very significant physicist named Faraday. Faraday’s Law deals with electromagnetism. The light doesn’t scatter quite right because light is electromagnetic radiation, and the island is abnormal with regard to electromagnetism." Cool! Thanks, Wayne!
- Sayid points out that Miles is not surprised to find survivors of Flight 815.
- Naomi seems to know, by the way she thinks there might be survivors, that the footage they are showing on the news is not the real 815.
- Charlotte's name, according to Ben, is Charlotte Staples Lewis. The author of The Chronicles of Narnia is C.S. Lewis, Clive Staples Lewis. (Thanks to Janet and Daniel for pointing this out.)
Questions Raised by Confirmed Dead
- Daniel seems to be mentally challenged. Was he ever in Santa Rosa with Hurley?
- When Daniel talks about the transponders he says, "The team and I," as if he is not part of the team. Why did they take him along? Is he part of the team or did he make it on the chopper for some other reason?
- Did Jacob's cabin move in the last episode? In this episode they are not going toward where Hurley thinks the cabin is.
- Why did the "rescuers" have gas masks?
- Locke seems to believe that Walt was real, not a vision. Was he?
- Who was Mrs. Gardner's grandson? Was he someone we know? Was the murderer someone we know?
- What kind of freaky abilities does Miles have?
- How did Miles know about the money in the dead teenager's room to ask the ghost about it in the first place?
- Why was Charlotte looking for Dharma evidence? How does she know about the island? What is her purpose on the island?
- When Sayid tries to call "someone else" on the phone and Miles tells him not to, Sayid says it can't hurt. Miles says, "Oh, it can hurt." What does he mean by that?
- Why is Matthew Abbadon either so sure there are no survivors or not concerned about Naomi and company finding survivors (or at least not letting Naomi know that he's concerned)?
- What does Miles want with Ben? Why is he so adamant to find Ben?
- Who is Ben's man on the freighter? Is it Richard Alpert? It is Michael?
- How did Ben know to put someone on the freighter? How did that person infiltrate?
