Complete Episode Guide: Cabin Fever Guide
Cabin Fever Clues
- Again, a gun did not fire when pointed at Michael's head (just like in episode 4x8, Meet Kevin Johnson when Michael tried to kill himself). The island must have more work for Michael to complete before he can die.
- Horace says that when Locke finds Horace, he'll find Jacob. Locke goes to the cabin and finds Christian and Claire. Is one of them Jacob?
- Locke was born with the odds against him. The nurse said he was the smallest preemie ever to survive in that hospital and that he knocked out every infection that came his way. He even survived being pushed out an eight story window as an adult. Locke was meant to live.
- At five years old, Locke had a sense of the island. He drew a person being attacked by a pillar of black smoke.
- Matthew Abaddon tells Locke not to give up, that anything can happen, as if he knows Locke will get the use of his legs back.
Questions Raised by Cabin Fever
- Why didn't the smoke kill Keamy or injure more of his men?
- Why does Horace say, "Hello there," to Locke in the middle of their conversation in the same way he had just greeted him when they began speaking? He also tells him his name again.
- Why has Jacob been waiting for Locke for a long time? What did Jacob have to do with Locke being born?
- Does Mrs. Locke know Richard? She seemed a little unnerved, but was that because someone was starring at them through the window or does she know him?
- How did Locke know about the black smoke when he was five? Did he have a dream?
- Why was Richard so disappointed when Locke didn't choose the right item from the stuff he pulled from his bag? The picture Locke drew of the black smoke proved that Locke had a sense of the island.
- Why did Locke pick the knife? Did he already feel a connection to knives, or was this incident with Richard what started his fascination with knives?
- Why do two people need the key to get into the safe and how come Keamy knew about the second protocol and the captain didn't?
- What is the contraption on Keamy's arm and how come the captain doesn't know what it is?
- Matthew Abaddon tells Locke that he had a miracle happen to him. What was it?
- When will Locke see Matthew again?
- Why was Christian wearing different clothes than we are used to seeing him in?
- Why can Christian speak on Jacob's behalf?
- What was Claire doing in Jacob's cabin? Is she dead?
- Why is the baby supposed to be with Sawyer?
- How are they going to move the island?
