- Karl has never heard of The Brady Bunch, so it looks like he has been on the island most, if not his whole, life.
- Back when Ben told Jack that if he did the surgery, Ben would allow Jack to go home (Ep: 3x2, The Glass Ballerina), my theory was that Ben meant he would get Jack off of Alcatraz island and back "home" to the main island. I still believe that is what Ben meant, and I think in this episode, when Juliet mentions that Ben calls the other island home, that Jack realizes that the other island is what Ben meant.
- The Chinese writing on Jack's tattoo says: He walks amongst us, but he is not one of us. Jack says that's what they say, but that's not what they mean.
Questions Raised by Stranger in a Strange Land
- When Sawyer asks Kate what she thinks Ben would do if they went back to the smaller island, Karl says, "Kill you. God loves you as he loved Jacob." Why does he say this? What does it mean?
- Why does Isabel interrogate Jack about Juliet asking him to kill Ben? Why does it matter? They know Juliet killed Pickett and their rules say that because of this she must be executed. If she's going to be executed anyway, why do her intentions regarding Ben matter?
- Achara asks Jack why he doesn't know how to fly a kite and says she has no interest in hearing about his father. She says some things are personal. Why does she say this? Why did she want to know about the kite, but not his father? What does she mean by it being personal?
- Where and why did Jack get the rest of his tattoo of the 5 and the stars?
- Why don't they keep a tighter reign on Alex? Why is she allowed to sneak around the island so much?
- Ben says that Ethan was a very good surgeon. There seems to be many Others, why had Ben sent Ethan, their one good surgeon, to live among the crash survivors?
- Why does Alex tell Jack to stand back and not say anything, yet she doesn't keep him out of sight? Tom immediately sees him.
