Complete Episode Guide: Flashes Before Your Eyes Guide
Flashes Before Your Eyes Clues
- When Desmond first wakes up in his flat, with red paint all around him, there are two stones on the table by his feet. These may be the same black and white stones that Jack found in a pouch with the two skeletons "Adam and Eve" in the caves (Ep: 1x6, House of the Rising Sun). Screen capture at Lost Easter Eggs.
- The brand on the paint that Desmond spilled was something that begins with FUTU, possibly FUTURE.
- In Charles Widmore's office, Desmond looks at a painting of a polar bear. Across the top of the painting is the word, Namaste, backwards (associated with the Hanso Foundation). There is also an upside down Buddha statue in front of the polar bear.
- Another picture in Charles Widmore's office is the same picture that Thomas, Claire's boyfriend, painted (Ep: 1x10, Raised by Another). Screen capture from Lost Easter Eggs.
- Desmond has been on the island for three years, about the same amount of time as Juliet.
Questions Raised by Flashes Before Your Eyes
- The woman in the pawn shop says, "And if you don't do those things, Desmond David Hume, every single one of us is dead!" Why? Why does Desmond changing things make everyone dead? Is it because he's not there to push the button and eventually turn the failsafe key? Or is it because he's changed the future in some other way?
- Why were the clocks in the pawn shop all set to different times?
- When Desmond is recounting what happened after leaving Charles Widmore's office, he said that he took off his tie and then Penny asked where it was and then it started to rain. All of that happened except Penny wasn't there? Why did he remember Penny being there and if she was there originally, why wasn't she there now?
- Desmond and Penny got their picture taken, Desmond had the picture, and Penny stormed off. We also saw Desmond with it on the island. So how did it get on Penny's nightstand (Ep: 2x23, Live Together, Die Alone)?
