Complete Episode Guide: Through the Looking Glass Guide
Through the Looking Glass Clues
- Dr. Hamill calls Jack a hero twice over. The first time he's speaking of must have been Jack getting the survivors rescued.
- Ben lied to his people, telling them Bonnie and Greta were on assignment in Canada.
- Ben telling his people that two of them were in Canada must mean that they can still get to and from the island, or at least they still believe they can.
- Ben says the island is under assault by forces stronger than anything it's had to deal with in many, many years. This implies that the island has been under assault before.
- Juliet says they were building a runway.
- Ben didn't want Karl to get Alex pregnant, which would kill her, so he did everything he could to keep Karl away from her.
- When Jack goes to the viewing, it's in a bit of a rundown neighborhood. It seems that the person being buried was poor.
- The person on the other end of Naomi's phone called himself "Minkowski". Hermann Minkowski was a mathematician who believed that the theory of relativity could be best understood in a four dimensional space in which time and space are intermingled. (Thanks, Wayne.)
- Jack has maps in his apartment as if he is looking for the island.
- What happened between Kate and Jack? Why does she not want to see him but ultimately agree to see him?
Questions Raised by Through the Looking Glass
- Why are the Others under radio silence? Or is it just Bonnie and Greta because no one was supposed to know they were there?
- What is the temple Ben speaks of? Who built it and why are they going there?
- Did Desmond and Charlie have an anchor? How did the boat stay above The Looking Glass?
- What is the assault Ben is referring to that the island is under? Is it the threat of Jack's group getting off the island? Why does that matter? What assaults has the island been under before?
- Why were they building a runway? Does Juliet really not know why?
- Who is in the coffin? Who died? It must be someone from the island, but who wouldn't have anyone show up? They never mention gender. Could it be Juliet? Naomi? Rousseau? Or is it Locke or Ben as many fans believe?
- Ben says that if Jack uses the phone, every single living person on the island will die. But we see Jack and Kate in the future. They don't die. Does that mean they are not "living" on the island?
- Who programmed the code in The Looking Glass? Bonnie said it was programmed by a musician, but she also said that she, Greta, and Ben were the only ones who knew the code. Did Ben program it? Did she?
- Is Christian Shephard alive? Jack mentions him a couple of times in the future.
- How did Locke know to go to the radio tower to try to stop Jack?
- Why did Locke try to kill Naomi instead of just wound her? What does he know about her?
- Had Jack gone to the funeral to pay his last respects or had he gone hoping to see Kate?
- What have they been lying about after they got off the island (Jack says he's sick of lying)?
- For what reason does Jack think they have to go back?
