"Live Together, Die Alone" Clues
- Locke tells Desmond that plane crashed on September 22, 2004. Also Penelope got the call that an electromagnetic anomaly had cured. She is not on the island and it happened in present time, therefore the Losties cannot be in purgatory, or in past or future times.
- The plane likely crashed because Desmond failed to input the numbers in time. Does that mean that the Losties are there by accident? Or is there more to the story?
- Libby's late husband's name was David (possibly Dave from Hurley's imagination (Ep: 2x18, Dave)). Also, Desmond's middle name is David.
- There may be a connection to Homer's Odyssey. (Odysseus sailed lost around the Mediterranean. His wife Penelope waited for him to return.)
- They really made it a point to make sure that we noticed that the statue only had four toes. I hadnt noticed that until Sayid mentioned it. It must have some significance (beyond being one of the numbers).
- Is the statue Greek? If so, is this the lost continent of Atlantis that Plato wrote about? It was thought to have a secret powerful source of energy. Some folks have mentioned a book called Headlong Hall by Thomas Love Peacock. Apparently it talks about a four-toed remnant of a statue and also has references to the philosophers Locke, Rousseau, and Hume.
- Just after the Michael party finds the tubes and before they get shot with the darts, there is whispering in the jungle. I made out Elizabeth for sure, and it sounded like other names, like maybe Linda or Melinda and something that started with an H.
- On the map that Kelvin drew on blast door, one of the hatches is crossed out. Is this the fake hatch on the North shore of the island?
"Live Together, Die Alone" Questions
- What happened to Locke, Eko, and Desmond?
- Where is Vincent?
- What's the story with the four-toed statue?
- What will happen with Michael and Walt?
- What will happen to Jack, Sawyer, and Kate? And why them? And why now?
- Why, if the Others wanted Kate, Jack and Sawyer, didnt they take them when they had them before with Locke and send Locke back (Ep: 2x11, The Hunting Party)? Why make them go back and then have someone go to fetch them again?
- Can Hurley find his way back by himself?
- Now that the security system has been activated, will the island lose its healing power?
- Non-Henry apparently is the leader of the Others. If they know the way off the island (sail at a heading of 325 degrees from the pier) then why are they still there? Why did he just give away their only boat? Is someone going to bring the boat back?
- Non-Henry told Michael he wont be able to find his way back. Does the island move? Is there a force field around it?
