Hurley plans a picnic for Libby, but everything keeps going wrong. First he tries to get a radio from Sayid, but that doesn't work. Then she catches him as he gathers food. They get lost in the jungle and he leads them back to their own beach instead of a secret beach. He doesn't have blankets or drinks. Libby sends him to find wine and she goes to get some blankets (Ep: 2x20, Two for the Road).
Hurley looks for Libby, and Kate tells him what happened. He goes to the hatch and asks to speak to Libby. He apologizes for forgetting the blankets. She sputters, "Michael," and then stops breathing. Hurley holds her hand and cries (Ep: 2x21, ?).
Hurley is upset that everyone is talking about going to get Walt when they haven't even buried Ana-Lucia and Libby.
Later, he digs a grave and Michael asks if he's coming to get Walt. They get in an argument when Hurley says he's not going. Kate stops the argument.
At the funeral, Hurley says that Libby was his friend and she helped him. He turns to Michael and says, "I'm going with you, man."
