'Lost' Producers Talk About Season 4 and Beyond

Thursday April 17, 2008
In a press call, Lost's executive producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse talked about the rest of season 4 and the last two seasons of the show.

This year's finale is called There's No Place Like Home (yet another Wizard of Oz reference). I'm thinking "home" is referring to the island that the Oceanic Six want to (and I'm guessing will) get back to.

In every season, the writers have a code name for the last scene. This year's code name is Frozen Donkey Wheel. It doesn't sound like this is the last scene of the season, but perhaps the second to the last and is the pivotal scene. Be sure to check out the Orchid Video, which was released at Comic Con last year, as Damon promises a big payoff in the finale.

There was supposed to be more on the freighter people this season, but with the writers' strike and shortened season (by two hours), some of their story will be deferred to next season. All of them are so intriguing, I'm really looking forward to finding out more and I wish that it could be this season. But, we will find out the fate of Danielle Rousseau and Karl within the first couple of episodes back.

Damon and Carlton know, and have known for some time, what the last scene of the show will be when it wraps up after 6 seasons in 2010. Besides themselves, there are less than a handful of people who know what that scene will be.

Lost returns this Thursday, April 24th, at 10 p.m. for 4 episodes, then a week off before the finale 2 hours of season 4.

I don’t think that Aaron is one of the Oceanic six, after all he was on the plane, but not in the manifest.
I believe that someone else, for instance, the person who’s funerale Jack assits in the third season finale, is the last Oceanic six.
What do you think about that Bonnie?

It’s Aaron. ABC confirmed it.
