Before They Were 'Lost'

Friday July 3, 2009
I recently watched Saving Private Ryan (who has time for movies when there is so much great TV?) and was excited to see Jeremy Davies in a role other than Daniel Faraday. And I loved Elizabeth Mitchell in ER, even though I didn't know her as Juliet Burke at the time.

Over at The Monitor, they've posted a photo gallery of the Lost stars now and in previous roles: Before They Were "Lost": Photo Gallery. It's kind of fun to see these actors playing different characters.

Now, that was a hilarious ride! I’d like to mention how funny it was to see Daniel Dae Kim (Jim) in “Seinfeld”. Or Naveen Andrews (Sayid) in “The English Patient”.

Lost was a great vehicle for its cast. Practically all of them did little before Lost, and now they’re big stars. Good for them!

A few things to check out:

Rent “Family Man” with Nicholas Cage and Tea Leoni. In the first twenty minutes, Ken Leung (Miles) plays a convenience store clerk who barely speaks English. It’s kind of funny, because we know he doesn’t even have an accent in real life.

On Youtube, look up “Josh Holloway Old Navy commercial” and “Matthew Fox Short Film.” They’re both hilarious, I think. Especially because young Matthew Fox is sporting the patented Sawyer-long-hair-pulled-half-up look.

I can just hear Sawyer now: “Well looka here, hombre, someone stole my signature hairdo!”

Those are great! I think the hairstyle looks better on Sawyer, though.
