'Lost' Time Travel

Monday February 11, 2008
One of the main theories of Lost has been the idea of time travel. This idea first crept into Lost fan consciousness when Sayid set up the transceiver to try to get a signal off the island in Episode 2x13, The Long Con.

Sayid sets up a pole and puts the radio on top. He changes the dial and gets Rousseau's signal and then finds spotty reception to WXO radio station. Sayid says it can be coming from anywhere.

Hurley says, "Or anytime."

Since then we've gotten several clues that time travel could be involved:

At first I hated the idea of time travel, but the theory has kind of grown on me and I now see it as a viable explanation for many things that have happened on the show. What do you think?

That could actually be a logical explanation for lots of things that had happened on the show. But I would personally hate it if that’s it. I hope they don’t keep me on the edge of my seat all this time just to disappoint me at the end.

I hope time travel isn’t the answer. Hope there is a good reason

Obviously with the newest episode that was on tonight the theory of time travel due to a certain amount of radiation is entirely possible… although there must be other factors… Daniel said that the effects vary depending on the subject so it could depend on the person’s brain and if they are leaving the island or entering their exact location… i hate all these suspensions… I’d be totally cool with some sort of explanation anytime soon… Oh and what is it about the oceanic six and why is aaron with kate????
It seems as if Hurley, Jack, Said, Kate, and desmond are 5 of the six… but why are there only six?
Since desmond went back in time and met daniel… that explains why he was upset about the plane crash!!!
how is it that charlie could appear to hurley in the future if charlie is “dead”. ah the many wonders of this show…
