Lost fan Patrick believes that Mikhail is Jacob. Here is his evidence:

- Mikhail has apparently been mortally wounded twice, each time recovering with ease. Only Jacob, or the direct intervention of Jacob would heal a being this quickly.
- Early on, the producers said that an old British series called The Prisoner was an influence to the plot of Lost. In it, the prisoner tries to escape from his captors on an island. His captors are led by a mastermind called "No.1". The twist in the final episode is that the prisoner is really No.1 who is testing his minions.
- Every time something happens which is going to affect Jacob directly, guess who happens to make an appearance...good old Mikhail to save the day.

I really like your theory, Patrick, especially the connection to The Prisoner. It’s a viable theory, except for the fact that the producers have said that they haven’t cast the part of Jacob yet. Of course that could just be a foiler to throw us off the trail.
And there has to be an explanation as to how Mikhail keeps coming back seemingly from the dead. Will he return again after setting of the grenade?
i like any therie that has an good explaination and this one does but i thought Jacob from what we seen of him that it looked like Christain Sheppard and in season 1 we seen him but like when shannon/sayid seen walt its the black smoke thats what jack seen and end os season 3 i also say its the black smoke but i cant explain it so its not real but ill some how come up with an explaination this site is still one of my favorite lost site lostpedia.com is a good 1 if u wanna know anything about characters background and things
I believe that Jacob is some kind of shapeshifter and that he is also some kind of alien species ,which would explain all the strange appearances ,eg Jacks Dad but at the end of the day the writers are going to change whatever they like and they do like to give themselves plenty of room for maneouvre .
I think that all the original inhabitants of the island are immortal somehow. Look at Richard. He doesn’t seem to age at all. I’m not sure about any of them being Jacob though. I do think that they are connected to the mystery of Jacob and once we solve that, the show will over.
In my opinion there will always be some mystery about the island ,right to the end because then people will be able to put there own slant on it ,long after Lost has ended .The writers will see to that .
I kinda think you could be right because In Season 4 preimere it kinda looks like Mihkail’s eye in the window, maybe he said help me because he is trapped in Mihkails body. unless he is in th shack. I don’t think he has to do wit the smoke monster beacuse I thing the smoke monster is really just a mediphour for their dark pasts coming back to haunt them. Remember what Echo seen in the smoke???
Patrick, please don’t think that way! I want all my questions answered. I would be very disappointed if the writers left me hanging in the end…
