The Biggest Hurley Bird I've Ever Seen!

Saturday May 27, 2006
Okay, well, it's the only Hurley Bird I've ever seen. But that bird definitely said, "Hurley"! Now, whether Hurley was just unlucky enough to garner the nickname that sounds exactly like a bird's call or whether that bird has human qualities, I just can't say, but I can say with 100% certainty that that bird said, "Hurley," as it flew towards the group and then away. And contrary to Sawyer's comments, I do not believe that it "crapped gold".

For one thing, the closed captioning said that the bird said, "Hurley." Also, Damon and Carlton talk about the "Hurley Bird" in their podcast. So is the Hurley Bird the only one of it's kind or is there a whole family of Hurley Birds? Tvsquad has a pretty good screen cap of the Hurley Bird that makes use of graphics software for better viewing, though it's still hard to see clearly. Obviously we weren't meant to see this bird clearly.

On that island, I wouldn’t be surprised if the birds crapped gold. Also, if it’s a Hurley bird, it just might … but it would crap gold on his friends’ heads, providing concussions. Such is the luck of the numbers.

Maybe it’ll be gold coins with the numbers on them! :)

Maybe they’ll be Dharma chocolate coins!

I sure hope they show Hurley making his way back to camp by himself. That might be pretty scary, especially if he runs into another Hurley Bird, or maybe a whole flock!
